The start time on your confirmation is the pick-up from the hotel in Ayers Rock Resort not flight time. Please note pick up locations are Desert Gardens, Sails in the Desert, Outback Hotel & Lodge and the Ayers Rock Campground. If you are staying at another location the closest pick-up point will be allocated. You may also meet us at the General Aviation Lounge at Ayers Rock Airport if you have your own transportation. 

Please be waiting at the pick-up point 5 minutes before your pick-up time.

Any amendments or cancellations more than 24 hours before the flight will receive a full refund without fees. Changes within 24hrs may incur costs to reallocate aircraft. Any cancellations made within 24hrs of the flight with forfeit the full amount as we have already allocated and prepared the aircraft for the tour.

‘No shows’ and missed pick ups will also forfeit full amounts paid for the same reason.

Safety is our utmost priority at Fly Uluru, for this reason we reserve the right to cancel without refund any passengers more than 10% of their advised weights and which place the available aircraft beyond its maximum weight limits. Please ensure correct weights are given when booking and if you have any concerns call us to discuss.

Any cancellations by our pilots due to weather or maintenance will receive a full refund.

Sunrise and sunset flight times alter thought out the year. For this reason, we update pick up times to suit after bookings have been made. We will let you know within 72 hrs of your booking the new pick-up time. 

Depending on weights of the passengers, we can fit a maximum of 7 people in the high wing plane all with window seats, or 3 in the helicopter. 

Seats will be allocated by your pilot to suit balance, loading and fuel in the aircraft. 

Due to the sacred sights around Uluru and Kata Tjuta we do not fly all the way around either formation, the sights to be respected from the air are different from the ground. However if you are a commercial photographer there are additional rules, please see the Uluru Kata Tjuta national park website for more information.

Please contact us directly for single passengers. We require two passengers for a tour to go ahead. We will aim to get you on with another set of passengers to allow you on a tour.

We regularly take up large groups on our tours, and will be more than happy to accomodate your group. While weight dependent, we can seat up to 7 per plane flight and 3 per helicopter flight. We can fly multiple planes/helicopters at the one time, or back-to-back flights. We will be happy to meet the needs of your group.

Call to book is embedded in our website and we are unable to change it, an email is preferred at this time. As we require first and last names, weights in kgs, lead travellers contact number and accommodation with the tour and date you require to see if it is possible to add to the schedule.

We have no minimum age for our planes or helicopters, infants under 3 years old fly for free sitting on an adult lap with infant restraint and earmuffs. 3+ years old need to be on their own seat but are allowed on our flights.

There is no major differences between our plane and helicopter tours. Both fly the same routes. Planes tours fly for slightly longer and you are guaranteed a window seat.

Plane tours can fit up to 7 passengers, compared to 3 passengers on helicopters.

Unfortunately, due to the distance between Ayers Rock Airport and Alice Springs Airport we do not do pick-ups for scenic flights from Alice Springs (4.5 hour drive away) however we do offer charter flights please contact charters@flyuluru.com.au
